In 2016, I started my furniture brand in Mexico City. I had no prior design experience, so I enrolled in a furniture design workshop in CENTRO de Diseño, Cine y Televisión, which enabled me to design and manufacture my products myself. The idea originally started as an e-commerce, which is why I also completed a masters in Digital Business in ESDEN Business School.
As the company started to grow, I realized there was a bigger market for custom-made furniture, which is why I began marketing my designs as completely customizable. This gave me a great advantage over my competitors and I started getting involved in bigger projects, integrating interior design and small scale construction. We’ve remodeled offices, restaurants, and stores. We’ve also built stands for trade shows, stages for events, and displays for product launches.
I enjoy getting involved in the manufacturing process, and do all of the CNC router cutting and laser cutting myself. I also enjoy painting, and have sold custom-made pieces of furniture with hand painted details, as well as murals for apartment buildings and restaurants.
